Thank you, Mr. Rick Manning!

For those who missed it, Mark Shapiro was a guest in the STO television sports broadcast booth during the Brewers vs Indians series. After exchanging a few niceties and some small talk with Matt Underwood and Rick Manning, Shapiro probably wished he had made a quick exit. The kid gloves came off and Manning grilled Shapiro about set lineups, set batting orders and the general use of players. Then Rick put him on the spot with questions about roster moves and reasons why the Tribe is doing poorly. Shapiro danced as fast as he could but was unable to put an end to Manning's sharp-shooting. While Rick's blind-siding of Mark didn't turn into a full fireworks display, the show was impressive. It marked the first time any member of the Cleveland area media stood up and demanded some kind of accountability. Hopefully other members of the media will follow Rick's lead and get our message across to Mr. Dolan: No more tolerance and excuses; it's time to fire Mark Shapiro and Eric Wedge for their incompetence.
